Animated Faith Zone
☞ Faith Exploration

Welcome to the Final Frontier...Faith!

Here under the Faith Exploration tab of the Animated Faith Zone, you will find lessons that show how Science and Faith work together. In Science class, you learned that Matter is "stuff," all the stuff that you can see and touch in the world around us. There is even matter beyond our sight range. We have telescopes to help see things far away. We have microscopes to see things that are too small for our eyes to see. But, what do we have to see things that are too far away for telescopes? Too tiny for microscopes? And, too far in the past or future for either machine?

Optical Illusions: Things Aren't Always As They Appear.

Try these patterns one at a time. Do they appear to move? They are actually made of stationary 2D objects.
That is where faith comes into the picture. What we can't see, we either believe or disbelieve. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 that Faith is "substance," or the stuff of which hope is made. This means that faith is a different kind of matter. It is not a solid, a liquid, or a gas. It is a chemical reaction in our brains, just like knowledge and learning. Brain neurons are working and chemicals are interacting within us throughout the day. All of our senses feed these impulses and chemical reactions. But, sometimes we are having chemical reactions and neuronal impulses that have nothing to do with what our senses perceive. Scientists are still studying to learn what makes our brains work like a giant supercomputer, only much better.
There is much in this world that is beyond what we can see. If we believe only what we can see, touch, hear, smell, or taste, then we will be leaving much of the universe outside our world. Open your eyes and believe that there is much more than meets your eyes!
